About Us

My father always told me that a man

who owned his time, owned the world.

So when I found myself at 32, facing an

uncertain future, I decided it was time to

      buy a serious watch.

I suppose I believed that with the right watch

I could conquer my fears and gain confidence

      to follow my passions GLJ

After 8 Media is a product of Garlason Group int’l (GGI) Watch Design Co. and was developed for acknowledging the many people and events that take place in creating great looking and captivating ads for GGI as well as other fine artist works. It is also a forum for placing the spotlight on other companies and individuals that are following their dreams and passions for success and personal fulfillment. I will also write about the things that I find enjoyable as well as important editorial for which I believe I should voice my opinions on. I invite you join us as we build on sharing links; expanding categories of many genres from art to zucchini;  sharing ideas; and building on the foundations that we are a community of self propelled individuals.

I have been asked on more than a few occasions why did I name this division After 8. The answer is quite simple. While most people work regular daytime hours and enjoy the evening with loved ones or social entertainment, I have always found myself gathering ideas and dreams through the day and manifesting those ideas and dreams into possible realities. This invariably always took place usually after eight in the evening until 1:00a or many times beyond. This has become a normal working pattern for me and I have become accustomed to it while also reaping the great rewards of satisfaction in my triumph of burning the midnight oil.

Please take the time to get to know the people and companies that I have listed and talk about here, not only have they dedicated their life to hard work, but clearly deserve this recognition. It is almost impossible to brand a new product in today’s society with so much competition and lack of funds for marketing to the newly challenged entrepreneur. The companies that have the large amounts of capital will genuinely corner the market share. This however is the American way considering we are a country of Capitalism. But this should not necessarily mean that new companies make inferior products! Many new companies actually make better products than mature companies sometimes because they have learned from those companies and, because this may be the only chance they get to make a legitimate go at success.

Thank you for being a part of my dream and passion! Sincerely, Gary L. Jamerson aka Urban Picasso CEO, GGITIME, After8Media
